We are seeking a Production Team Lead for our First Quality Baby Products facility located in Macon, GA.  This position will be responsible for coordinating the work efforts of the team members to achieve and exceed team performance goals. In performing these duties, the Team Lead will work as part of their regular operating team while also performing this coordinating function.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Be responsible for efficient coordination of operating teams to achieve daily shift goals
  • Participate in the development of team involvement plans to achieve higher levels of operation performance
  • Take corrective actions, including recommending disciplinary actions, in order to resolve individual team member performance issues
  • Establish and maintain mutually supportive relationships with other Team Leads, Production Supervisors, and resource support personnel
  • Maintain communication with Production Supervisors regarding any information that affects the success of the line
  • Provide leadership to team members in coordination with the appropriate support functions to identify and resolve safety and quality issues, to reduce waste, and to increase equipment efficiencies
  • Train and/or direct the efforts of trainers in order to ensure team members have the resources they need to effectively perform
  • Participate in daily meetings as required and communicate results to team members
  • Ensure accuracy of shift production reports
  • Model high standards of conduct and leadership

In our work environment, you will need to be able and willing to:

  • Walk and stand for a 12 hour period
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 50lb
  • Keep your work area swept and cleaned
  • Work a rotating shift that includes a combination of days and nights, holidays, and weekends

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Be 18 years of age
  • Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Be a Production Tech II or III
  • Complete the Team Lead Training Guide
