Under the direction of the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of all shift employees and ensuring compliance with all safety, quality, production quantity and quality targets, and housekeeping standards as well as maintaining discipline.

The Production Supervisor is responsible for the manufacture of products producing the required volume of products within company standards of quality, cost and safe work procedures; ensures that employees have all the resources and tools necessary to carry out their job functions safely and efficiently; supervisor will also be responsible for working with managers, other supervisors, and personnel from other departments to promote a team environment to achieve goals across all shifts; be a dependable self-starter who has the follow-up skills to produce extraordinary results with integrity while displaying a positive can-do attitude.


How you will make contributions that matter...

  • Supervises all personnel and manufacturing operations during their shift.
  • Coordinates the daily activities of operations personnel to effectively manage the flow of production.
  • Maintains thorough knowledge of all manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Coordinates with maintenance, engineering, and others to solve all production related problems.
  • Actively identifies and initiates process improvements to positively impact service and product quality and financial performance.
  • Trains, upgrades, evaluates and reviews all shift employees and assures adherence to quality and safety procedures.
  • Assures that established policy rules and regulations and procedures are followed to provide a safe and effective work environment. Coach and discipline employees where appropriate.
  • Ensure proper and accurate reporting on all production and inventory measurements.
  • Proactively communicates plant status to the next shift supervisor and Superintendent.
  • Comprehends and completes all required reports.
  • Troubleshoots problems and offers suggestions to avoid problems and make improvements.
  • Responsible for the health and safety of the employees. Eliminates hazards in the workplace and assures safe operating procedures are implemented.
  • Trains employees in Quality and Safety regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Manage the operations improvement process by using facilitation and coaching skills.
  • Responsible for supervising gluten-free production on each shift.

You are best suited for the role if you…

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of work/specialized training with progressively responsible experience.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in the manufacturing industry and in a supervisor-level role is required.
  • Computer proficiency to include intermediate Microsoft Excel, Word and Office skills as well as Internet research skills and experience using database system (Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP, Oracle).
  • Possess good written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work as team member and meet assigned deadlines.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.
  • Work comfortably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools, and equipment.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work; ability to effectively handle multiple projects with track record of successful project completion; and ability to work positively under pressure.
  • Ability to take initiative and creativity to troubleshoot/problem solve and determine the approach or action to take in non-routine situations.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Regular work hours: 6 PM – 6 AM

(Supervisors should arrive at least 30 minutes before shift starts and stay 30 minutes after shift ends. Availability to work every other weekend is required based on the schedule below.)

Schedule: It is designed to rotate throughout a two-week period, and once the two weeks are complete, it will restart following the same pattern as the first week.

Monday-Tuesday: off

Wednesday-Thursday: on

Friday-Sunday: off

2nd week:

Monday-Tuesday: on

Wednesday-Thursday: off

Friday-Sunday: on

Salary Range: $71,000-$80,000

Salary offers may be commensurate with experience, skills, education, and training.
