Overview of the Role:

Saputo is seeking a Production Supervisor for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role is responsible for the leading & implementing all training programs for hourly Production employees. This position will ensure compliance with all policies and procedures in relation to training for all Production employees. In addition, this position will be responsible for the onboarding, orientation, and training for all new hires in Production.

How you will make contributions that matter:

  • Responsible for the administration and development of all training & efficiency programs

  • Identify training requirements to support employee development, company goals and legal compliance

  • Source and identify training programs to support site requirements, including obtaining manufacturer-issued trainings for new equipment

  • Responsible for scheduling and conducting the New Hire Department orientation program

  • Responsible for onboarding and training of hourly New Hires, including managing locker administration and facilitating on-the-job training for Health and Safety, GMPs, and other areas as required

  • Responsible for Workforce schedule & time tracking.

  • Act as the site point-of-contact for Alchemy training platform by creating and updating learning plans, scheduling training programs, and facilitating the set up and delivery of training programs both in-person and online

  • Monitor and update the Training Matrix as needed, archive old training modules, and establish regular communication with department managers to ensure all new and refresher training is completed in a timely manner

  • Ensure supervisors are provided with clear direction and support them in delivering job specific training

  • Active Supervision by analyzing Production data and provide regular status reports to Management

  • Identify and solve opportunities for training program improvements

  • Develop positive, motivating, and efficient communication with all employees

  • Ensure all training documents are completed and recorded in a timely manner

  • Support site employee engagement activities

  • Other duties as assigned

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of computer platforms (Microsoft Office, Alchemy, Workforce etc.).

  • 3-5 years in a Manufacturing environment

  • Previous experience in a leadership role an asset

  • Proven ability to speak in front of an audience and present information in a clear manner

  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated analytical and organizational skills

  • Must be self-motivated, results oriented and possess high degree of initiative, and work well with minimal supervision

  • Proven leadership skills and strong team orientation

  • Flexibility to work shifts outside regular scheduled shift

Salary: $78,170 to $102,600

Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training
