Production Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join our great team at Seco Tools located in Ramos Arizpe Plant, reporting directly to the Production Manager. You will lead and manage a team of production technicians (CNC, Sharpening, and high qualified technicians), ensuring the efficient and high-quality manufacturing of precision cutting tools. This role focuses on optimizing production processes, maintaining safety standards, and achieving operational targets within a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
* Directly supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel, including scheduling, payroll incidences, vacations plan, assigning tasks, training multi-ability matrix, safety, and monitoring performance.
* Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery deadlines are met or exceeded.
* Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
* Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing corrective actions to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
* Conduct regular quality checks and inspections of products and processes, ensuring adherence to specifications.
* Train new and existing production staff on equipment operation, safety protocols, and manufacturing best practices.
* Monitor and manage raw material inventory, coordinating with procurement to ensure adequate supply for production.
* Prepare and maintain production reports, analyzing data to identify areas for improvement and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Foster a positive and productive team environment, promoting continuous improvement and employee engagement.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, quality control, and maintenance, to optimize overall operational effectiveness.
* Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing) or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a production supervisory role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in precision machining or cutting tools.
* Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, lean principles, and quality control methodologies.
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and develop a production team.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in Spanish and English (highly desirable).
* Knowledge of labor legal law, safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including potential shifts and weekends, as required by production demands.
