Job Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Production Department, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely manufacturing activities. This role directly supervises manufacturing operators, the filling team, and raw materials warehouse staff, while maintaining production schedules, quality standards, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily operations of the Production Department, including manufacturing operators, filling teams, and raw materials warehouse staff.
- Plan and manage production scheduling and raw material fractioning, establishing standards to control manufacturing processes, workforce utilization, materials, and equipment.
- Ensure adherence to committed production schedules and delivery dates for all manufactured products.
- Communicate promptly with the Planning team regarding any changes that may impact production timelines.
- Maintain and update the production management system on a daily basis.
- Monitor and manage departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Participate in daily and/or weekly production meetings to report product status and align priorities with Planning.
- Conduct regular meetings with employees to address task planning, safety, quality, and operational concerns.
- Order tools, supplies, and materials required for departmental operations.
- Actively contribute to process development and continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure order, cleanliness, and organization within the department and in other plant areas where supervised staff operate.
- Enforce compliance with corporate and local policies, manufacturing procedures, ISO 9001 standards, and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Promote safe work practices, identify unsafe conditions, and take immediate corrective action.
- Manage employee matters including schedules, shift changes, vacation, and leave coordination.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Factory & Site Manager.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong knowledge of production processes, scheduling, and raw material management.
- Familiarity with KPIs, continuous improvement methodologies, and production reporting systems.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
- Proven ability to lead teams, communicate effectively, and manage employee relations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast‑paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and operational excellence.
