Manufacturing Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Manufacturing function.
Job Summary
The primary purpose of this position is the supervision and coordination of manufacturing labor in the production operation (i.e. sorting, reprocessing, inspection, assembly and/or packaging) of used medical devices and associated products utilizing manual, semi-manual and mechanized operations. It is the supervisor’s responsibility to assure the all areas of the operation meet scheduled goals and are manufactured in accordance with FDA, GMP regulations, ISO standards, and product design specification. All of these responsibilities are carried out in accordance with time, labor, and material cost standards.
Responsibilities
Supervise, develop, motivate, and assess the performance of hourly manufacturing employees on B Shift & C Shift, including setting expectations, organizing work, timekeeping, and providing guidance.
Interview and assist in the selection of hourly manufacturing employees, identify staffing needs, and address employee complaints and resolve problems.
Provide training and development for hourly employees (on-the-job, safety, housekeeping). Ensure adherence to all plant/corporate policies, work rules, safety, environmental regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and ISO standards, issuing corrective actions as necessary.
Assure the effectiveness and accuracy of manufacturing equipment and tooling, diagnose malfunctions, coordinate repairs, and stay current on all relevant department and plant procedures.
Coordinate operations across various departments for effective utilization of skills, labor, and materials to ensure on-time production and adherence to quality standards.
Anticipate production problems (e.g., material outages, equipment malfunctions) and develop/implement preventive actions to offset production loss or poor quality.
Drive continuous improvement in product cost and manufacturing processes, including identifying cost savings and leading projects. Review and coordinate with engineering staff on production validations, projects, and process problems, collaborating with global support on various improvements.
Analyze production effectiveness, ensure completion of all necessary paperwork, assist in planning and directing periodic inventory, and report any unusual circumstances to management.
Participate in or lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) and Non-Conformance Report (NCR) teams, and complete failure investigations as assigned.
Understand and abide by all plant EHS&S policies, rules, standards, and procedures. Complete required EHS&S training, use appropriate personal protective equipment, and immediately report hazardous conditions, environmental risks, or job-related injuries/illnesses.
Perform other duties as assigned as required by the position.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
3-5 years related work experience, preferred
Demonstrated success in managing people and leading a team
Strong communication skills
Data analysis skills preferred

Anticipated salary range: $67,500 - $105,930
