Are you an experienced Production Team Supervisor or a Team Leader looking to take the next step in your career?
As part of the Supply Chain team, this role will be to lead the production team at one site in Christchurch, providing direction and support to the team, ensuring productivity targets are met and leading innovation and change across the afternoon shift (2 pm to midnight) Monday - Friday. This site is undergoing significant change, improvement and investment and will require the skills of an accomplished leader to help drive this change.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
Creating a positive, productive and safe working environment
Ensuring continuous improvement in safety and quality
Providing leadership, direction, coaching and support to the team
Driving team performance, providing recognition or creating improvement plans as required
Ensuring productivity targets are met via appropriate resourcing and planning
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, experience and qualifications:
Demonstrated supervisory experience in an automated and fast paced industrial production or operations environment
The leadership capability to drive and motivate a diverse multi-cultural workforce
Solid experience in performance management and conflict resolution
A commitment to safety, continuous improvement, innovation and change
Some exposure to production and maintenance planning, embracing the use of technology
Strong communication and team building skills
Experience in a highly unionised environment preferred
