Production Process & Sanitization Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

Purpose

The purpose of the Production Process & Sanitation Operator role is to support efficient and safe production operations by ensuring proper handling of materials, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation, and assisting with production processes. This role helps uphold food safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while promoting a safe, organized, and environmentally responsible workplace.

Responsibilities

  • Organize and stack cardboard, inedible waste bins, damaged pallets, and raw materials in designated areas to support yield data collection.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production area by removing meat trims, fats, and production waste; disposing of cardboard, garbage, and packaging materials; and clearing debris from floors and drains.

  • Assist with and execute product changeovers across various workstations.

  • Support the line leader/supervisor in recording and maintaining accurate production yield data.

  • Comply with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure all food safety, quality, and regulatory requirements are met.

  • Follow safe work practices to minimize environmental impact and promptly report hazards, incidents, and environmental spills to the supervisor.

  • Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others by identifying hazards and speaking up when concerns arise.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs (70% of the time).

  • Comfortable working in a noisy environment (hearing protection provided).

  • Ability to work in a cooler environment.

  • Ability to work occasionally in a freezer environment as needed.

  • May require operating food processing machinery, a rider, manual pallet jack.

  • Frequent repetitive lifting and bending.

  • Be flexible - decisions or tasks may change frequently.
