The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a Production Planning Coordinator personnel to be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing production schedules to support on-time delivery and inventory optimization. This role works cross-functionally with Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, and Program Management to manage material availability, mitigate shortages, and ensure alignment between demand and supply within the ERP system.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and production targets.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure schedules are followed and adjust as necessary.
- Ensure optimal utilization of resources to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
- Collaborate project managers to forecast demand and adjust production plans accordingly.
- Manage inventory procurements to ensure adequate inventory levels of components to support production demands and maintain smooth production flow.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance production processes.
- Liaise with various departments including engineering, quality control, and logistics to ensure alignment of production plans with overall business objectives.
- Communicate production status and issues to relevant stakeholders.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and efficiency.
- Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Have a Bachelor’s degree or ability to obtain within one year of hiring a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in scheduling and resource management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Infor ERP/MRP system.
Desired:
- Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in production planning, operations, or a related role within a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$50,500 - $101,000
