This role is crucial in our operations, as it handles end-to-end planning and manages the local supply plan for assigned products to ensure efficient resource allocation and alignment with organizational goals. Experience with SAP production orders and finished products inventory management is essential. The role also includes reviewing and documenting planning processes according to the company's quality system.
Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Planning Ownership: Develop and manage Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on customer demand and the availability of components, labor, and machine capacity.
- Demand & Supply Integration: Interpret S&OP outputs and work closely with the global supply chain and local teams to ensure finished goods availability via S&OE process, meeting production targets
- Inventory Strategy & Execution: Monitor inventory levels and safety stock, manage stock positioning, and evaluate inventory health using KPIs to prevent shortages or excess.
- Risk Management & Escalation: Identify potential supply risks, lead scenario planning and capacity simulations, and escalate issues in coordination with relevant functions and the Global Supply Chain.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Production & Process, Quality, Logistics, and Customer Support teams to ensure seamless execution of the supply plan.
- System & Data Governance: Maintain planning parameters in SAP and ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with planning processes, and act as a key user for system enhancements, testing, and training for production planning.
- Process Improvement: Provide insights and feedback to enhance planning workflows and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Regulatory & Internal Compliance: Ensure all planning activities comply with internal procedures, ISO standards, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in SCM, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in SCM, with at least 5 years focused on production planning.
- Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations.
- Exposure to and experience with biotech manufacturing processes and practices, preferably at a production site.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and relevant bolt-on systems.
- Experience as a Key User in SAP projects involving PP, MM, and WM modules is highly preferred (additional exposure to QM/FI/CO is a plus)
- Proven experience in driving process improvements, enhancing performance, or achieving cost reductions via continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) and problem-solving tools
- Strategic and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and fast decision-making capabilities.
- Demonstrates strong communication and influencing skills as a Production Planner, even without formal authority, to drive alignment and results across teams.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining data accuracy.
- Good command of both English and Korean.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and the Microsoft Office suite
- Supply Chain Management certification (e.g., CPIM or CSCP) is strongly preferred.
