YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:

  • Establish daily production schedules for assigned product, with sufficient lead-time to determine in which sequence products and components will be manufactured or purchased to meet planned requirements.

  • Create, review and release orders in a timely manner and perform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances.

  • Review and utilize work center load data to identify and resolve capacity / load issues.  Make or recommend revisions to existing production schedules.  Monitor schedules and processes to assist departmental or value stream personnel in achieving the goals of on time completion.

  • Respond to inquiries on customer orders.  Ensure that inquiries are promptly and professionally responded to. Communicate with affected customers when schedules are revised.

  • Review, analyze and edit nonstandard orders against a defined set of input requirements.  Identify discrepancies and communicate with appropriate personnel to resolve discrepancies.  Process nonstandard orders promptly and accurately to provide the next operation with requested set of output requirements.

  • Plan all parts individually to meet the business needs.  Develop, implement and coordinate part planning with shop operations to include such things as: Plan for Every Part (PFEP), Container and part count sizing, Returnable containers, Replenishment methods for supporting “Pull Systems”, Minimize human involvement in the replenishment processes, Integration of suppliers with production.

  • Review item forecast versus actual demand patterns.  Make appropriate adjustments to maintain inventory levels. Identity excess and obsolete inventory, determine root cause and disposition, and take corrective action.

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering ,Supply or related field is an asset.

  • 4+ year Production planning experience in a manufacturing environment required.

  • Must be bilingual, communicating effectively Spanish / English through oral or written communication.

  • Knowledge in AS-400 (JDE) or other ERP software.

  • High Volume Planning preferred

  • Lean Manufacturing Environment preferred

  • Material Flow Processes preferred.

  • Problem solving skills RCCM, PDCA’s.

  • Optimally plan and coordinate to changing demands and circumstances activities across multi-functional teams and departments.

  • Ability to establish relationships and influence others in the organization.

  • Able to pursue multiple priorities with minimal direction.

  • Effectively work in diverse teams, including working with people from multiple levels of the organization.
