How Will You Make an Impact?
As a Production Planner I at our Auburn Hills, MI facility, you will serve as the primary customer interface for demand planning and shipment execution. You will develop and maintain a feasible operational plan, own execution of the plan, and drive performance against planning metrics. Your work will directly support customer satisfaction, minimize business risk, and contribute to continuous improvement across planning operations.

On‑site at our Auburn Hills, MI facility.
What Will You Do?
- Partner with the Business Unit and customers to develop a collaborative demand plan through effective execution of the Demand Management process.
- Create a master production schedule using material sizing and capacity analysis.
- Load and maintain the master schedule within the Jabil ERP system.
- Develop and maintain a feasible production plan; collaborate closely with operations to ensure successful execution.
- Develop revenue forecasts, monitor actual performance, and initiate corrective actions and recovery plans when risks to revenue targets are identified.
- Monitor planning metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Comply with all company security policies and operational procedures (“rules of the road”).
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

- Typically reports to Management. Direct supervisor job title(s) typically include: Planning Supervisor, Planning Manager.
How Will You Get Here?
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; or an equivalent combination of education, training, or experience.
- 1–2 years of materials‑related experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
- Advanced PC skills, including experience with Jabil software packages.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to prepare routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal teams.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to manage multiple variables in standardized situations.
- Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry concepts.
- Strong understanding of logistics requirements and ability to support business objectives through effective planning strategies.
