Production Planner II
Job Description
The Production Planner is responsible for ensuring efficient, timely, and accurate planning of production activities to support operations within the North American Distribution Center. This role oversees inventory reliability, production scheduling, and coordination of logistics processes. The Production Planner analyzes, resolves, and prevents production and logistical issues while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the operation. The position also supports the development and maintenance of process documentation, performance metrics, and system data integrity to ensure optimal workflow and alignment with business goals.
Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):
- Maintain inventory accuracy and ensure stock reliability to support production and distribution needs.
- Create and release production orders, pick requests, and material requirements (O2 and O3 requests).
- Develop, maintain, and optimize production planning processes, KPIs, and improvement initiatives to achieve targeted throughput and performance.
- Define, document, and keep warehouse and production workflow processes up to date.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for WMS-related concerns, including troubleshooting software, process, or basic IT issues.
- Independently perform technical and planning tasks related to production schedules, material flow, and order prioritization.
- Identify operational issues and implement corrective actions to prevent disruptions in daily production or logistics operations.
- Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
- Perform additional planning and support duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-3 years of warehouse and inventory experience
• Must have valid state driver’s license and clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with MS Office, JD Edwards, or similar ERP/WMS systems.
- Basic mechanical aptitude or familiarity with material-handling equipment.
- Knowledge of quality processes and compliance standards.
- Previous experience in supply chain, production planning, or manufacturing environments.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Schedule is subject to change based on business
needs.
May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
