The Production Planner II is responsible for developing and executing production schedules to meet customer demand, optimize manufacturing efficiency, and ensure on-time delivery. This role acts as the liaison between supply chain, production, and customer service to balance material availability, labor capacity, and production priorities.

We have a brand-new state-of-the-art facility which includes new equipment, a cafeteria, onsite fitness gym, golf simulator, outdoor tennis court, basketball court, and pickleball court.

Your schedule will be Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with overtime on a business need basis.

What You Will Do

• Handle parts and materials

• Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on customer orders, inventory levels, material availability, and capacity constraints.

• Analyze MRP messages, shop load, and work-in-progress to optimize throughput and minimize delays.

• Collaborate with procurement, materials, and inventory control teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.

• Work closely with production leads and supervisors to communicate daily and weekly schedules, resolve conflicts, and adjust plans in response to changes in demand or capacity.

• Monitor job progress and performance against schedule; escalate risks and delays proactively.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to planning accuracy, schedule adherence, and lead time reduction.

• Maintain planning parameters such as lead times, order policies, and safety stock levels in the ERP system (e.g., Epicor).

• Analyze capacity and load to recommend overtime, second shifts, or outsourcing when necessary.

• Create and distribute production metrics and reports as needed.

• Work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

• Perform other duties as required

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D in the US) or vocational/ technical education in related discipline with one year of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer

• Proficiency with ERP systems (Epicor preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience in a make-to-order or job shop manufacturing environment.

• APICS/CPIM certification or coursework.

• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.

• 2+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
