Join Our Team as a Production Planner! We're looking for a detail-oriented and strategic thinker to take charge of our production planning process. In this role, you'll be responsible for analyzing product demand and developing efficient production plans to ensure the timely availability of finished goods. Your insights will directly impact our ability to meet customer needs and maintain smooth operations.
A Production Planner for Hempel plays a critical role in ensuring our production processes run smoothly and efficiently. You'll be the link between demand forecasting and production execution—helping us deliver quality products to our customers on time, every time.
What you do you need to be successful in this role?
Develop and manage production schedules based on current demand, sales forecasts, and inventory levels
Schedule production batches for both stock and custom orders using our ERP system (AX)
Collaborate closely with the Raw Material Buyer to ensure all necessary materials are on-site before production begins
Coordinate with the Quality Control team to request batch sizes aligned with customer needs and factory capacity
Work directly with the production team to manage last-minute changes, rush orders, and expedited fill instructions
Partner with Customer Care to communicate product availability and shipping timelines
Enter and maintain master data for finished goods, raw materials, and packaging components in AX
Analyze sales forecasts versus demand to ensure all needs are met in the production schedule
Track and support the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and departmental goals
Assist with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes
Support physical inventory counts for both finished goods and raw materials

We're seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional with the following qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
3–5 years of experience in Supply Chain, Production Planning, in a chemical manufacturing environment.
Experience in industrial coatings is a plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics AX.
Strong skills in data analysis, demand planning, and forecasting techniques.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset.
Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A strong customer service orientation and team-focused attitude.
