POSITION OVERVIEW
The Production Planner is a key member of the Supply Planning team within the Supply Chain organization. They will be responsible for developing and maintaining a detailed plant production schedule, working with manufacturing, operations, and business planning teams to meet the delivery commitments of the business. Responsibilities will also include coordinating the internal replenishment process with a focus on Italy warehouses and plants associated with Mozzate operations.
TARGETED OUTCOMES
Align production schedule with the approved supply plan. Support efficient execution of monthly sales.
Find inefficiencies in our process and recommend process improvements.
Learning operational capabilities and preferences on assets, products, and BOMs.
Develop a working knowledge of SAP and other technical tools to make informed and timely decisions while processing replenishments and creating production schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Support ops daily production plan operations:
- Supporting SAP transactions
- Supporting material validation and production readiness
- Supporting asset production schedule.
Resolve customer order issues/exceptions by working closely with Customer Operations Specialists on day-to-day issues.
Reconcile scheduling issues and report to scheduling management as needed.
Manage supply and asset network and develop plan that coordinate material movements between plants and assets.
Maintain safety stock and/or inventory target values by monitoring inventory levels and coordinating actions with sales on slow moving inventory; control the production to prevent building excess inventory, monitoring metrics.
Work closely with Logistics to coordinate replenishment shipments
Escalate replenishment issues to Planning Supervisor and Supply Chain Manager as required
TEAM
Reports to: Planning Supervisor
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Economics, Supply Chain & Logistics or related field. Extensive experience may be considered in place of a degree.
Minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience of planning within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in SAP or other planning software is a strong plus.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Products..

Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative manner with diverse groups and in cross-functional and cross-business teams is needed
Results oriented; able to translate business requirements to system-based solutions and implement these solutions to improve business performance
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills are a must
Fluent in English

Supply Chain experience to facilitate informed decision making is desired
Perform quality work within guidelines, deadlines, and processes with limited supervision
