Cylinder Evaluation: Includes the physical quality assurance of new and return cylinders & bundles. This involves reviewing year tests or tube accessories, paints, valves, and caps. You will help evaluate the condition of frame bundles and manifolds, and assist in sorting between ready-to-fill cylinders and those requiring specialized care in the maintenance area.
Cylinder Maintenance: We look for individuals who will take pride in evaluating treatment equipment (such as hydrotest machines, dryers, and painting equipment) to ensure a safe and effective work environment. You will facilitate cylinder or valve leak tests using soapy water and manage the painting of cylinders in alignment with government compliance and standards. You will also facilitate cylinder testing via hydrotest machines and manage the valving-devalving process in accordance with AL safety standards. Your role includes facilitating the drying & vacuum bake oven process and supporting the consistency of cylinders according to their specific gas and color coding. You will support a smooth handover process to the filling area and initialize GTS barcodes following maintenance.
Cylinder Accessories: You will manage the replacement of accessories requiring maintenance and ensure the correct installation of caps and valve types based on gas and cylinder allocation. You will also ensure stickers are accurately attached according to product specifications and grades.
Quality Assurance & Standards: Manage quality evaluations, such as dew point checks per batch cylinder VBO, to meet product specifications. We look for a team member who will support the integrity of all products; ideally, you bring the experience necessary to perform functional testing on analyzers to maintain our high-performance standards.
Technical Degree (2 years) preferred
7+ years experience preferred
Prior industrial gas experience.
The hourly base pay range for this position in California is $34.00/hr - $38.00/hr. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only.
