We are looking for you to join our team as Production Operations Manager 3 based out of Baltimore, MD.
You will serve as the lead Operations Program Manager for the Advanced Land Sensors Operating Unit within the Land and Maritime Sensors Business Unit. It will include both G/ATOR production and development operations.
What You’ll Get to Do:
Acts as the primary manufacturing liaison to program management for development and execution of the manufacturing strategy
Acts as primary product development, manufacturing, and test contact for program activities, leading program review sessions with internal and external customer to discuss operational aspects of technical, cost, and schedule performance
Oversee and manage product development, manufacturing, and test, global supply chain, and mission assurance activities and serve as primary liaison to program management
Assesses project and technical issues and develops and drives action plans and resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction goals and objectives
Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with program managers, engineering, suppliers, line/cell managers, and customers
Manages the operations CAM portion of program costs using EVMS methodology, inclusive of baselines, Comprehensive Estimates at Complete, monthly Business Management cycle requirements, and weekly/monthly cost reporting.
Coordinates and leads the preparation of proposals; prepares and reviews all manufacturing Basis of Estimate justifications, creates master production schedules, and coordinates material planning and production scheduling to include all aspects of producing product through delivery
Drives continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities
Will be a functional manager to a team of 5-10 Operations Program Managers
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Program/Project Management, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing; Master’s degree with 6 years of experience in Program/Project Management, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing
Experience leading people across large organizations (direct reports)
Experience/SME for EVMS/CAM
Experience working across multiple teams and organizations
Experience troubleshooting and developing creative solutions to meet customer demands
Experience driving continuous improvement through mitigating risks and realizing opportunities
The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance is required
U.S. citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
Current/Active DoD Secret Security Clearance
Experience in Manufacturing defense related electronics
Experience with continuous improvement techniques – LEAN, Red X, etc.
Experience working proposal creation and labor estimating
Experience as a Technical project management
Experience with RCCA Investigation type activities
Experience as a Functional Manager
Experience with data mining/manipulation & presentation

Primary Level Salary Range: $167,500.00 - $251,300.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
