Broadridge is growing! We are actively seeking a Production Operations Coordinator for our Edgewood facility.
This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time.
Under the general direction of the Supervisor/Manager of Production Operations, the Production Coordinator is responsible for overseeing a team of up to 40 associates/temps, prioritizing and overseeing work for their assigned team to ensure all SEC and contractual requirements are met. The coordinator monitors operator and machine productivity/efficiency to maximize throughput and minimize labor costs, while ensuring quality and SLA goals are met or exceeded.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for production sign-off on all jobs; coordinator must verify job name, job number, postage, indicia, correct material, meeting time, meeting date and spelling of director’s name.
- Verifies all administrative paperwork is filled out properly.
- Ensures operators strictly adhere to all required policies and procedures.
- Ensures all jobs on the Must Mail List are prioritized and completed in the proper order.
- Ensures all machines have work and coordinate with the Warehouse team to ensure all required materials are available to minimize down time. Verifies that the right jobs are on the right machines. Works with operators and management to maximize machine throughput rates.
- Utilizes production tools such as JETS and WMS to increase the efficiency of the operation and reduce costs.
- Manages the material handlers; ensures they have the proper supply of envelopes and BREs and pull all foreign, First Class and 5-digit pieces form the machines.
- Ensures all surplus is properly handled based upon its disposition and keeps the production line clean of debris.
- Ensures operators have received proper technical, quality, safety, application and ISO training. Cross-trains staff to minimize costs and ensures that multiple backups are available to support each type of inserter/machine and application. Accountable for supporting the planning, organizing, and implementation of high quality and consistent training to all operators.
- Follows up on all discrepancies with jobs such as mixed material, director misspellings, incorrect meeting dates, etc.
- Responsible for monitoring temp labor hours on their production line to ensure accurate billing.
- Monitors daily reports on throughput and quality report cards and gives feedback to operators.
- Pulls pieces from jobs to ensure batch integrity.
- Responsible for splitting all jobs and completing Split Job Log.
- Responsible for obtaining all job manifests, and the splitting of Postal Tags
- Ensures appropriate meter dates and postage are applied to all metered mail, especially on month end statements.
- Coaches, counsels, motivates, develops, supports, encourages and instructs operators on the production lines. Rewards, recognizes and disciplines associates as appropriate to maximize performance and associate engagement levels.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a print/mail insertion operation is required. Must have detailed knowledge of insertion equipment technology/capabilities.
- Associate degree preferred or 3 years working in a Production environment.
- 1 year Leadership experience in a Production, manufacturing or transaction processing environment is required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills. Must be able to communicate effectively with staff and management.
- Solid organizational skills. Must be able to effectively multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to review printed documents to ensure that they meet quality standards.
- Must be a self-starter and demonstrate strong initiative. Strong interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Must be flexible to work overtime, including weekends.
- Must be flexible to accept various assignments (e.g., overseeing different functions, running different jobs/equipment, learning to utilize new equipment, etc.).
- Strong PC/systems skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Good problem-solving skills. Must have the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
- Proficient in English; Spanish communication skills a plus

Shift: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Hourly Rate: $26.70 – 28.70 USD per hour depending on experience – Bonus Eligible
