SDUK's brands include the Nation’s favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), dairy ingredients and dairy free products.

As Production Manager for our cheese department you will be responsible for the day to day operations, working with other functions optimising processes, improving reliability and recipe control as well as leading key projects across the department.

You will make contributions that matter by...

• Being a key member of the site operations team, responsible for the 24/7 operations of cheese production, managing a team of 4 Shift Leads.
• Utilising CI tools such as 5s, KATA, SIC and Tier processes to manage operational KPIs such as OEE, quality, yield and implementing corrective actions where necessary.
• Supporting and identifying opportunities for future development of the site through investments and improvements to optimise processes, reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Providing guidance, opportunities and coaching support to enhance the skills and capabilities of the production team.
• Ensuring a safe working environment by enforcing strict adherence to H&S regulations and promoting a strong safety culture.
• Maintaining our food safety standards through compliance with industry regulations, quality standards and legal requirements such as GMP and food safety regulations.

You are best suited for the role if you have…

• Prior experience within a Production Manager role.
• Experience working within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, lean methodologies and CI principles.
• Excellent team player, leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on meeting production targets.
• The flexibility to deliver and manage production effectively, working out of hours where deemed necessary.
