About the role (Evening Shift):

We are on a mission to build a world-class team that drives innovation, growth, and excellence. As we scale rapidly, we are looking for an Automotive Production Manager (Evening Shift) to lead our reconditioning facility. This role focuses on driving operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement while mentoring team leads and ensuring that every vehicle meets Clutch’s high standards. Evening availability is required.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop and execute the vision for the reconditioning department, aligning with company sales and production goals

  • Lead lean production efforts, championing standardized work practices, 5S methodology, and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Identify and eliminate waste to improve quality, reduce cycle times, and increase efficiency

  • Establish and monitor KPIs and production metrics, using data to drive decision-making

  • Partner with leadership to implement scalable systems and processes that support growth

  • Lead, coach, and develop team leads, empowering them to manage frontline staff with accountability

  • Build a high-performance culture rooted in collaboration, safety, and personal ownership

  • Provide clear communication, guidance, and recognition to engage team members

  • Develop succession plans and training programs focused on lean principles, quality, and safety

  • Oversee all reconditioning processes, ensuring vehicles are completed on time and to quality standards

  • Implement and maintain standardized work processes for consistent outcomes

  • Lead 5S workplace organization to maintain a safe, efficient, and visually managed facility

  • Manage department budgets, resource allocation, and equipment maintenance

  • Collaborate with sales, logistics, and other departments to align production schedules with customer demand

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in lean manufacturing operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Proven success in implementing 5S, standardized work, and waste reduction initiatives

  • Knowledge of automotive repair, detailing, inspection, and quality control is an asset

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to develop leaders and hold them accountable

  • Data-driven decision-making skills to optimize efficiency

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills

  • Flexible availability, including evening shifts, weekends, and overtime

  • Communication: Frequent interaction with leadership, team leads, and production staff

  • Problem Resolution/Analysis: Identify inefficiencies or quality gaps and implement improvements

  • Team/Individual Contributor: Lead department operations while mentoring team leads

  • Working Conditions: On-site role in a production/reconditioning facility during evening hours

  • Mental and Physical Skill/Effort: Leadership, organization, and problem-solving required

Employment Type:

  • Existing, Permanent Full-Time (Evening Shift)

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Salary range: $85,000 - $120,000 annually
