We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Manager to lead and scale our production operations in Munich, Germany. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end manufacturing and production workflows, ensuring efficient supply chain coordination, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
The Production Manager will bridge strategy and execution—leading day-to-day production activities while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, operations, and leadership teams. This position plays a critical role in ensuring our autonomous systems hardware is delivered on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Oversee daily production operations, including assembly, testing, packaging, and shipment of hardware
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand and company objectives
- Ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery timelines are consistently met
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase throughput and efficiency
- Partner with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure material availability and mitigate shortages
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes
- Support audits, inspections, and compliance activities
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for production or quality issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment
- Lead, mentor, and develop production technicians and support staff
- Foster a culture of accountability, safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Communicate production status, risks, and recommendations to leadership clearly and proactively
- Implement and refine production workflows and standard operating procedures
- Leverage ERP and inventory systems to improve reporting and operational visibility
- Support scaling of production capacity as the company grows
Qualifications and Skills
- 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, operations, or hardware assembly environments
- Even better if experience is working in electronics, aerospace, or robotics environment
- Strong understanding of production planning, inventory control, and supply chain operations
- Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electronic assembly
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
