Production Manager - 2nd Shift

Job Summary

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead the 2nd shift production team at our Macon facility. You will guide plant personnel to deliver high-quality products at optimal cost standards, ensure raw material availability, and maintain production machinery to meet demand. You will train and develop team members, foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, and partner with HR on interviews, hiring, evaluations, and training initiatives.

Your Impact

  • Oversee production lines to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Drive compliance with OSHA regulations and corporate policies.
  • Ensure all team members are trained and equipped to meet production requirements.
  • Maintain clear communication across all levels and shifts of plant management.
  • Monitor ingredient usage and labor figures for accurate costing and recall requirements.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to achieve production goals.
  • Promote continuous improvement in safety, cost efficiency, and product quality.
  • Share key metrics with supervisors to encourage performance improvement.
  • Champion safety awareness and training initiatives across the workforce.
     

Your Experience

  • B.S. degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or related field is preferred 
  • 4+ years of experience in production leadership within the food industry, or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Working knowledge of production equipment, systems, and maintenance activities. 
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on safety, quality, and operational excellence. 
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement tools (Lean, Six Sigma-Green Belt, TPM) 
  • Willingness to work weekends and flexible hours.

Compensation: 

Annual Base Salary: $81,000.00 - $110,000.00

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
