Summer Production Intern, WLEX

Are you passionate about broadcast production and eager to learn the technical side of television? WLEX, the E.W. Scripps NBC affiliate in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a motivated Summer Production Intern to gain hands-on experience in directing, technical directing, and studio production operations. This is your opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals and develop real-world skills in a fast-paced broadcast environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Gain exposure to the broadcast television industry through daily assignments
  • Learn directing and technical directing operations in a live studio environment
  • Assist with studio production duties including camera operation, audio, lighting, and graphics
  • Support the production team with newscast preparation and execution
  • Perform assigned duties as relating to the internship
  • Develop skills based on the area supporting
  • Other duties as assigned

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Internships are intended to be positions that are for a limited duration

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Strong desire to learn more about the broadcast industry
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Ability to follow directions
