Primary Responsibilities:
Hire, develop, and mentor teams of equipment engineers and technicians responsible for the development, design, installation, maintenance, and optimization of production assets; ensuring functionality, reliability and compliance with safety standards.
Oversee technical management of suppliers in the design, sourcing, and implementation of new technology into the production system.
Lead special projects supporting key company priorities. Projects may include but are not limited to: stabilizing and improving the efficiency of the production system, enabling rate increases on our production lines, incorporating product and process changes into the production system, and various initiatives directed at culture change
Develop and maintain partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports.
Leverage network to drive coordinated project execution with business unit leaders.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
5+ years of experience in an engineering role
3+ years of experience leading or managing technical teams of various levels and disciplines
Project management skills with the ability to manage complex technical projects & schedules
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience working in an aerospace manufacturing environment
Capital procurement experience, evaluating proposals and validating contractual performance
Experience in industrial equipment maintenance and reliability engineering
Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment
Coaching experience helping team members improve technical and professional skills
Ability to provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
