Job Summary
As the Production Engineering Functional Leader, you will be responsible for leading and managing the production engineering team to optimize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure high-quality product output at our Thailand facility. You will drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of operational excellence.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production engineers, providing technical guidance and performance management.
* Oversee the design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
* Analyze existing production lines and workflows to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
* Implement Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools to optimize production performance.
* Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations teams to ensure seamless new product introductions and successful ramp-up of production.
* Develop and manage capital expenditure projects related to production equipment upgrades and new installations.
* Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production engineering, tracking progress and reporting on departmental performance.
* Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies within the production engineering function.
* Manage departmental budget and resources effectively to achieve operational goals.
* Drive problem-solving initiatives using structured methodologies to address production issues and deviations.
Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in production engineering or manufacturing engineering roles within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in appliance manufacturing or a similar industry.
* At least 3-5 years of proven leadership experience managing and developing a team of engineers.
* Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other continuous improvement tools (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, SMED).
* Proficiency in process design, optimization, and automation.
* Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and simulation tools is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.
* Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
* Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Thai is highly desirable.
