Job Summary: THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER-TITLE 32, Position Description Number PDD1259000 and is part of the KY FMS 6, National Guard. ***NOTE: Indefinite employment is temporary and is expected to last more than one year but no more than five consecutive years.*** Continued employment is not guaranteed and is subject to annual competition.

Major Duties:

  • As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER-TITLE 32, GS-1152-7, you will establish and implement plans, schedules, and control the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment. Conduct planning that pertains to production processes, mechanical skills, availability of equipment, repair parts, and other factors. Designate and maintain current maintenance repair priorities. Assist supervisors regarding readiness, CL IX funding, production problems and work planning. Provide assistance to ensure that reportable Line Item Numbers (LIN) are properly accounted for, managed, and reported. Analyze repair methods and recommend control procedures to ensure that accomplishment of programs meet priorities and deadlines. In the absence of the higher graded production controller, ensure that unit CL IX accounts are funded, budgeted, and executed to maximize readiness. Ensure necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units and higher headquarters' in a timely manner. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: MINIMUM REQUIREMENT: Experience with planning, estimating, scheduling, and expediting the use of manpower, machines, and materials pertaining to repair operations. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience with planning, scheduling, and controlling the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment. Experience with work order information, status changes, supply updates, and other pertinent information. Experience with current maintenance repair priorities. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates, work schedule, and/or hours worked per week for both civilian and military employment. (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only and unspecified work schedule will result in disqualification.
