Job Summary: This National Guard position is for a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, Position Description Number D1259000, within the CSMS A/1 of the New Jersey Army National Guard. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position. NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform.

Major Duties:

  • As a PRODUCTION CONTROLLER, GS-1152-7, you will: Establish plans, schedules, and controls the maintenance and repair of a variety of vehicles and equipment Conduct initial and long range planning pertaining to routine production processes, mechanical skills Ensures necessary maintenance records are maintained and required reports are submitted to units Authorizes the acceptance of equipment for repair; monitor work priorities, status, and completion of work orders and requisitions Works with other sections within the organization to ensure equipment readiness reports are accurate and submitted in a timely manner Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which indicates the candidate can reason in quantitative terms, communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner, understanding the terminology and data pertaining to repair operations and process characteristics of the production activity. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have at least 12 months experience, education or training working with people from various levels and backgrounds. Experience with a general knowledge of the functions and procedures of production control, records, references, and techniques for developing production control data. Experience assisting or maintaining workflow.
