The primary purpose of this PRODUCTION CONTROLLER NJ-1152-02 position is to route work to supervisors, maintain status of in-shop work; maintain the On-Line Vehicle Interactive Management System (OLVIMS); coordinate deferred work; receive/analyze maintenance data & compile reports; & ensure the most efficient use is made of manpower, material, space, tools & equipment.

Qualifications: Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Clerical and Administrative Support Positions SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicant must have, or within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement will have, one year of specialized experience, of which is equivalent to Federal experience at the next lower grade (GS-04), level pay band (NH-01), or equivalent (pay schedule, pay band, etc). Specialized experience is described at assisting with the planning, estimating, scheduling, and expediting the use of labor, machines, and materials in specific manufacturing or remanufacturing operations that employee mechanical or automated production systems and methods in the fabrication, rebuilding, overhaul, refurbishing or repair of any type of Government owned, controlled, or operating equipment, systems, facilities, and supplies. OR EDUCATION: Applicant has successfully completed 4 years above the high school level education with major studies, obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Applicant has equivalent combinations of successfully completed post high school education and specialized experience directly related to the work of the position as outlined above that meets the requirements of the position. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing. Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
