Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Production Controller 2 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.

The selected candidate will be joining our Production Control organization, which is a critical operations team that drives efficiency and collaboration across manufacturing and production processes. Our primary focus is ensuring seamless execution on the shop floor by managing order creation and release, material flow, hardware movement between work cells, and close partnership with the Integrated Product Team (IPT). By blending operational precision with cross‑functional collaboration, Production Control supports manufacturing excellence and helps the business achieve its overarching goals.

The manufacturing environment requires precision, attention to data, details, and quality. This Production Controller 2 role will support daily operations within a manufacturing and warehouse environment, with primary responsibilities centered on receiving, opening, and processing boxes, crates, and containers. The position involves processing incoming hardware, organizing contents, and ensuring accurate handling and distribution throughout the facility. The individual will perform data entry and maintain detailed records using enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems such as GOLDesp and SAP.

Success in this role requires strong computer proficiency, high level of attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple conflicting priorities in a fast-paced setting. The position also involves supporting hardware movement using equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and crane hoists, while adhering to all safety protocols. This role is critical to maintaining operational flow, record accuracy, and overall efficiency within the warehouse and manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate handling of information
  • Good written and verbal communication skills for cross functional collaboration
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office suite) and ability to learn new software quickly
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple conflicting tasks in a fast paced setting

Basic Qualifications Production Controller 2:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications Production Controller 2:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production control environment
  • Experience with logistics and support of Government Property
  • Experience maintaining accurate records and receiving logs
  • Experience with GOLDesp, SAP, or similar Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Experience with basic quality processes, compliance guidelines, and participating in routine audits
  • Prior pallet jack, forklift, and crane hoist certification
  • Active Security Clearance

Primary Level Salary Range: $41,300.00 - $68,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
