Your Working Environment:
The Airbus Aerosystems Kinston facility sits at the forefront of aerospace manufacturing, specializing in the production of large, advanced composite aerostructures. Our team builds critical components for the state-of-the-art Airbus A350 XWB, including the composite center fuselage and wing spar.

Your Challenges:
Analyzes methods, facilities, and equipment to ensure optimum use of resources
Evaluates and analyzes capability and capacity plans, processes, and products; recommends improvements; and implements approved changes
Analyzes the impact of process and production changes on budget projections and develops and applies labor standards to production orders
Coordinates, analyzes and presents performance data to manufacturing management for resource allocation decisions
Oversees and directs the implementation of current and proposed manufacturing processes and products
Assists in the layout of factory shop floors; ensures the accuracy of budget and performance status data
Interfaces with manufacturing management and the tooling organization to ensure resource availability
Represents the organization in cross-functional teams
Ensures that implemented process enhancements meet improvement targets
Implements manufacturing process improvements
Develops shop schedules and capacity plans for work centers, machines, and tools
Works according to established guidelines, exercising broad latitude in determining technical solutions with some guidance from more experienced analysts
Applies technical principles, theories, and concepts frequently
Your Boarding Pass:
2-4 years of relevant experience with a BA/BS degree or a Masters degree with 0-2 years of experience.
Experience organizing a matrix for day-to-day build plan for a shop
Experience efficiently facilitating meetings
Experience using an MRP system
Ability to present data in a clear and concise manner
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to schedule in a sequenced manufacturing environment
Ability to run own project tasks and to understand the workflow from shop-to-shop
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering preferred, although not a required accreditation standard program or another related field of study
3+ years of related experience
1+ year of experience in an analyst role
Aerospace experience
Experience using SAP
Experience using Microsoft Project
Experience with production control
Experience creating and maintaining metrics
Experience establishing plans around hours and overtime
Physical Requirements:
Vision: Daily able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens, able to read documents, reports and engineering drawings.
Hearing: Daily able to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on the production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
Speaking: Daily able to speak in conversations and meetings, deliver information and participate in communications.
Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors):Rarely able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
Carrying: Weekly able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Lifting: Weekly able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
Pushing / Pulling: Several times a month able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
Sitting: Daily able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on the computer.
Squatting / Kneeling: Daily able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
Standing: Daily able to stand for discussions in offices or on the production floor.
Travel: Once or twice a year able to travel independently and at short notice.
Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): Daily able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visits, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
