Production Chemist II

The Role: 

Our site in Entegris Canada - Toronto is seeking a Production Chemist/Operator to join our team. The person will be responsible for manufacturing of chemicals according to predefined procedures and within health and safety operating procedures. 

What You’ll Do: 

• Proper use and care of equipment. 

• Rigid adherence to production specifications and procedures. 

• Strict compliance with housekeeping protocol, Health & Safety requirements. 

• Ensuring all required documentation is current, complete and accurate. 

• Working to improve your skills and those of your colleagues. 

• Developing and maintaining thorough understanding of chemicals used in manufacturing, production procedures and underlying chemistry. 

• Supporting team members with your sound understanding of safe operations in the plant. 

• Working 12-hour shifts, rotating day/night every month  

What We Seek: 

• Enthusiasm for acquiring new skills.  

• Strong interpersonal and team communication skills.   

• Strict attention to detail at all times (following procedures, documentation, equipment usage, chemical storage/disposal/handling). 

• Comfort working in an ethnically diverse working environment. 

• Ability to lift 50 pounds  

• Willingness to wear PPE, including a lab coat, safety glasses, hard hat, and a full-face or partial-face respirator.

Outstanding Candidates Will Have: 

• B.Sc. degree in chemistry or college diploma in chemical technology or a related field. 

• Experience in a chemical manufacturing plant is an asset. 

• Technical Competence/Skill. 

• Dedication to excellence.

• Scaffolding others and collaborating with colleagues to propose new solutions and implement new ways to add value.

• Compensation: $55,000-$60,000 annual base salary range with actual pay based on chosen candidate experience

• Shift Differential: 2.5%
