The Role and What You'll Do:
Art + Commerce is looking for a Production Assistant in the Paris office to support a photographer and set designer’s agent. The candidate’s primary objective is to manage all production once a job is awarded. The candidate will work closely with the agent, freelance producers, accounting department and studio managers to assist in successful completion of projects. This position requires a calm, strong, intelligent, intuitive personality. This person must be able to maintain a positive attitude, respond efficiently to requests, and communicate with people politely and effectively at all different levels. This position allows for the producer to work with a collaborative team, interacting with exceptional photographers and other artists, while obtaining an insider’s view of commercial and editorial image making at the highest level.
Liaising between artists and clients to produce and manage productions
Manage and coordinate project billing from advance to final invoicing
Handle accounting for artists which will involve generating estimates and processing billing on timely matter
Liaise with accounting on ongoing basis to ensure that invoicing and expenses are processed
Manage all estimate creation and revisions
Manage large scale productions and being the point person for photographer and client
Attending pre-production meetings and shoots when necessary
Creating budgets, negotiating fees and expenses
Creating call sheets + production books as needed
Maintaining and organizing calendars and schedules for jobs and meetings
Optioning stylists, hair, makeup, set designers and studios
Optioning DPs and film crew
Manage the booking of artist travel, hotel + additional needs
Other responsibilities as assigned
You Have These:
A minimum of 1 year experience in fashion production (print + film preferred)
Strong negotiator and excellent communicator
Comfortable interfacing with high level clients and artists
Strong ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
Must be able to multi-task and oversee numerous coinciding projects
Specialized knowledge of the fashion and advertising market
Interest in contemporary photography, fashion, pop culture and publishing
