SUMMARY

Colliers Mortgage is actively seeking a growth-oriented Analyst to join our expanding and dynamic transaction screening team. This exceptional opportunity offers exposure to a diverse range of complex commercial and multifamily real estate lending products, predominantly Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, but also including Bridge, Bank, Life Co, CMBS, and Preferred Equity/Mezzanine loans. As part of our high-performing team, you will contribute to delivering top-tier debt solutions to multifamily clients while expanding your industry knowledge and expertise.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with up-front deal screening and due diligence tasks including, rent roll analysis; preliminary loan sizing analyses; researching competition in the market area; preparation of soft loan quotes; and other required documentation related to screening new loan opportunities.

  • Coordinate with underwriters and borrowers for collection of loan due diligence materials.

  • Communicate with the production team and borrowers to facilitate the collection of required application exhibits.

  • Perform preliminary data entry and analysis of credit documentation provided by clients to determine degree of risk associated with the loan.

  • Prepare models and narratives in order to procure quotes from agencies, banks, life companies, debt funds, etc.

  • Verify, input, and analyze data in Collier’s loan origination system.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of new processes and procedures related to program revisions and guideline changes

  • Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience

  • 1 to 3 years of multifamily agency screening or underwriting experience preferred

  • Prior exposure to either Fannie Mae DUS or Freddie Mac Optigo underwriting guidelines preferred

  • Proficient understanding of Commercial Real Estate financing gained through successful completion of CRE focused coursework, internships, extracurricular activities, or professional experience required

  • Familiarity with the primary commercial real estate property types including, but not limited to: multifamily, office, retail, industrial, and hospitality

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required

  • Strong time management skills and a respect for deadlines.

  • Driven, innovative team-player who is focused on results and strives to deliver a superior work product

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills required, advanced financial and data manipulation functions in Microsoft Excel preferred

  • Ability to review and analyze complex financial documents such as

  • Broad intellectual curiosity including the ability and desire to grow professionally

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

COMPETENCIES

  • Excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills

  • Understanding of income property appraisal and cash flow methodology

  • Accurate and dependable in completing responsibilities with strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and able to work independently with little supervision

  • Able to work within deadlines. Proven ability to work on multiple concurrent projects.

  • Good at problem solving, researching, and decision making with the ability to think critically and independently.

  • Strong ability and desire to work with others as a team, respecting people of diverse backgrounds.

  • Willing to assume duties and projects to further the goals of the company

JOB EXPECTATIONS

This is a full-time position. Days of work are Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Regular and reliable attendance required. Monthly domestic travel is required for this position.

Approximate Salary Range for this Role: $60,000 - $75,000.

Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
