The Opportunity:

As the Product Transfer Leader (PTL) for Sequencing Systems, you are responsible for leading the transition of new and innovative technologies from development into the global market. Reporting to the Life Cycle Leader, you will ensure broad organizational readiness and awareness by aligning cross-functional stakeholders and establishing the support infrastructure necessary for long-term product success. Your primary objective is to manage the transition between early-stage innovation and established Roche service structures, ensuring our customers are successful with exciting new products that are scalable, effectively supported, and high-performing.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Cross-functional leadership: Lead integrated teams and task forces across R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Global Support to coordinate the market introduction of new sequencing technologies.

  • Technical knowledge capture: Identify and capture critical technical insights from the development phase to global market release to create a comprehensive knowledge base for dissemination to local affiliates and support teams.

  • Strategic transfer planning: Develop and execute multimodal processes covering the product lifecycle; from definition to development to early product release and the systematic transfer of product responsibilities into sustaining support structures.

  • Lead the sustaining PCQT team and process within the Life Cycle Team

  • Performance communication: Provide data-driven visibility into product performance and customer experience metrics to stakeholders across the organization.

  • Technical escalation management: Establish formal technical escalation pathways and serve as a primary point of contact for resolving complex customer inquiries and field issues.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering required; advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in product development and/or related project environments

  • Proven track record of advancing complex biotech products from prototype through global launch

  • Able to effectively bridge technical and operational domains, communicating seamlessly with both PhD-level scientists and field service engineers

  • Deep expertise in NGS workflows, with prior experience launching sequencing systems

  • Experience working in clinical or regulated environments strongly preferred

Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. 

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Santa Clara, CA is $177,500 - $412,000.  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
