Product Support Technician-CRC/MSC

A Day in Your Life at MKS

As a Product Support Technician at Atotech Canada Ltd., a subsidiary of MKS Instruments, Inc., you will play a critical role in supporting pilot line operations and laboratory testing to ensure high-quality plating processes and material analysis. This position directly impacts product performance, customer satisfaction, and compliance with environmental and safety standards. You will report to the Technical Center Manager.

You Will Make an Impact By:

• Perform plating requests on the CRC pilot line, maintain the wastewater treatment system, and conduct corrosion testing. Also responsible for work performed in the Material Science Lab, including hardness testing, microscopy, thickness measurement, and cross-section preparation.
• Operate, calibrate, and perform general maintenance on all pilot line and associated equipment.
• Supply general information and test results to field representatives and customers.
• Follow safe lab practices and maintain good housekeeping; understand hazards associated with work activities and adhere to established procedures for handling and using chemicals.
• Manage hazardous waste in compliance with company and government regulations, including minimizing waste generated from all activities.

Skills You Bring:

• Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 2 years of related experience.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

• Activities include sitting, standing, and typing for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Requires good manual dexterity and coordination.
• Occasionally moves/positions objects up to 50 lbs.
• Regularly handles objects at various heights (below, at, and above shoulder level).
• Must be able to communicate information clearly and exchange accurate details.
• Operates in a professional office/manufacturing environment.
• Frequent use of computers and office productivity equipment.
• Ability to observe documents and details at close range.
• Noise level in the work environment is typically average.

Compensation

Salary Pay Range: $60-70k CAD annually. This range reflects a reasonable expectation of pay for this position, based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, training, operational needs, and other considerations.
