What you’ll do
We are looking for a Principal Product Strategy to join our Chief of Staff team at Doctolib HQ in Paris. You'll be the person who discovers the next wave of AI and product capabilities that will accelerate our roadmap and impact 90M+ patients and 400,000+ healthcare professionals across Europe. This isn't classic corporate development, it's product-led deal-making.
This is a unique opportunity to accelerate Doctolib's M&A capabilities with your technical lens, working at the intersection of technology, product, and strategy. You'll partner with our CEO, CTO, Corporate Development and Product leaders. Your conversations with founders start with product demos, architecture deep-dives, and roadmap fit, not spreadsheets.
If you're a product or technical leader who's curious about M&A, a VC with an operator spine who wants to go deeper, or a former product-driven CTO/founder who wants high-impact work in healthcare technology, this role is for you.
Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Build our acquisition pipeline mapped to our Tech & Product roadmap. Conduct market research in the AI and healthtech ecosystem to identify companies that could accelerate our capabilities.
- Get your hands dirty with product and tech: Test products yourself. Review code, architecture, data/ML pipelines, and security. Evaluate technical teams and roadmaps. Work with our Engineering teams to assess integration paths and synergies.
- Originate deals like a founder would: Pitch Doctolib to potential targets. Build relationships with founders and CEOs. Convince them that joining forces is the right move. This is relationship-building and storytelling, not cold outreach.
- Make the investment case: Present opportunities to the Executive Committee with clear technical insights. Influence LOI negotiation and deal terms based on your findings.
- Partner closely with Tech and Product leaders: Help define and refine our strategic acquisition theses. Align on priorities. Keep a live "wishlist" of capabilities we might acquire.
- Lead technical and product due diligence: Quantify synergies, integration effort, and key risks. Your technical depth will inform deal structure and pricing.
Who you are
Before you read on — if you don't have the exact profile described below, but you feel this job description matches your skill set, we still encourage you to apply.
You could be our next team mate if you:
- You are fluent in English and French. German is a plus.
- Strong technical or product depth: You could be an AI/ML-savvy product leader, a technical leader (Engineering Director, Head of Data/ML, Head of Platform), a VC investor with an operator background, or an ex-founder/CTO/CPO. What matters: you can talk concretely about stacks, data pipelines, ML features, product architecture.
- Exposure to deals, strategy, or business development: Maybe you've done corp dev, worked in VC, led product strategy at a high level, or run partnerships/build-vs-buy decisions. You're curious about M&A and want to transfer your skills into sourcing and executing deals.
- Strong communication and influence skills: You can pitch to founders, align executives, and present to the board.
- You know the AI ecosystem, and you have a genuine interest in healthcare and technology.
Now, it would be fantastic (but not required) if you:
- Have experience in healthcare or healthtech.
- Understand corporate finance basics or have run M&A processes.
- Have a network in AI, healthcare, or VC ecosystems in France, UK, or Germany.
