Our healthcare system is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the U.S. Every year, over 50 million Americans suffer adverse financial consequences as a result of seeking care, from lower credit scores to garnished wages. The challenge is only getting worse, as high deductible health plans are the fastest growing plan design in the U.S.
Cedar’s mission is to leverage data science, smart product design and personalization to make healthcare more affordable and accessible. Today, healthcare providers still engage with its consumers in a “one-size-fits-all” approach; and Cedar is excited to leverage consumer best practices to deliver a superior experience.
The Role
We’re looking for a Product Strategy & Ops, Strategist III to strengthen how our Product team plans, delivers, and scales new products and features.
In this role, you’ll bring structure to how we plan and deliver our roadmap - managing the systems and processes that support planning while helping execute launches that deliver measurable business impact. You’ll bridge strategy and execution: running planning cycles, tracking progress against goals, and coordinating the teams that turn product ideas into results.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on clarity, enjoys organizing complex work, and helps teams operate at their best. Lastly, our ideal candidate will be able to work out of Cedar's NYC HQ office 1-3 times a week in person.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Planning
- Support strategic planning and prioritization: Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to align roadmaps to company goals and client needs, contributing to quarterly and annual planning cycles.
- Maintain roadmap and capacity visibility: Keep a clear, accurate view of Cedar’s product investments, dependencies, and available capacity through dashboards and trackers that make priorities and progress transparent.
- Strengthen tools and workflows: Help evolve the systems (Jira, roadmap tracker, dashboards) that streamline intake, prioritization, and reporting across teams.
- Support operating rhythms: Prepare materials and insights for Monthly Operating Reviews (MORs) and other leadership forums, summarizing progress, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Advance product metrics and insights: Partner with PS&O and Product Analytics to analyze product performance data, uncover gaps or inefficiencies, and highlight opportunities to improve adoption, experience, and business outcomes.
Product Delivery
- Support product and feature launches: Partner with Product, Engineering, Commercial, Marketing, and Client teams to coordinate and execute feature rollouts - helping determine when features are ready to scale to general availability (GA) and ensuring smooth, well coordinated launches.
- Ensure cross functional readiness: Equip internal and client-facing teams with clear, up to date resources such as demos, decks, and release materials that communicate value and drive adoption.
- Maintain clear communication: Support the creation and delivery of product release communications, including roadmaps, release notes, and client updates that provide transparency into what’s coming and why.
- Monitor adoption and performance: Track rollout progress and feature utilization, contributing to monthly readouts and surfacing insights on adoption trends and client impact.
Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience in product operations, delivery management, or program management within SaaS, fintech, or healthcare technology environments.
- The ability to come into Cedar's NYC HQ office 1-3 times a week.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator experienced partnering with Product, Engineering, and Commercial teams to coordinate feature launches and complex initiatives.
- Operational and execution oriented mindset with experience managing roadmaps, delivery timelines, and planning tools (e.g., Jira or Smartsheet).
- Analytical and detail focused, able to interpret data, track adoption metrics, and connect product outcomes to business impact.
- Clear communicator with excellent organizational skills and comfort preparing updates, materials, and communications that keep stakeholders aligned through delivery.
