About the Role

Nasdaq's Product Strategy US Options team is seeking a curious, analytically driven Analyst to join our Chicago-based team supporting the US Listed Derivatives business. This is an exceptional opportunity for a soon-to-graduate student to launch their career at the intersection of technology, data, and capital markets.

As an Analyst, you will work side-by-side with a collaborative five-person team, contributing to strategic initiatives that shape how Nasdaq serves the options trading ecosystem. You'll engage with internal partners across Development, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and Controllers, as well as external stakeholders including Institutional Trading Desks, Market Making Firms, and Retail Brokerages.

This role requires independent judgment, creative problem-solving, and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that influence business decisions.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze market trends, trading activity, and competitive dynamics to support product strategy decisions
  • Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and data pipelines using Python, SQL, and BI tools
  • Leverage GenAI tools and develop agents to enhance team productivity and analytical capabilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and solve business challenges
  • Communicate findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contribute to the development of new procedures and best practices within the team
  • Support senior team members on complex, high-impact projects with significant autonomy

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (Spring 2026 graduate preferred)
  • Experience using GenAI tools and creating agents
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Strong writing and analytical skills with sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Curiosity about financial markets and derivatives
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team, requiring minimal direction

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Experience working in Databricks
  • Background in Data Science, Data Engineering, or Data Visualization Design

This position will be located in Chicago and offers the opportunity for a hybrid work environment at least 4 days a week in-office, subject to change, providing flexibility and accessibility for qualified candidates.

The base pay range for this role is $65,000 - $114,000. In addition to base salary, Nasdaq provides a generous annual bonus/commission (short-term incentive), and equity (long-term incentive), comprehensive benefits, and opportunity for growth. Exact compensation may vary based on several job-related factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: skill set, experience, education/training, business needs and market demands.
