Position Purpose:
The Product Specialist at Heritage Pool is responsible for providing expert knowledge and support on the company’s product lines, ensuring customers and internal teams have the information needed to make informed purchasing and operational decisions. This role combines technical expertise, customer service, and sales support to enhance product adoption, optimize inventory usage, and drive customer satisfaction. The Product Specialist acts as a key resource for branch staff, sales teams, and customers, supporting the company’s overall growth and product strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide detailed product knowledge and support for all Heritage Pool product lines, including pools, aquatics, landscape, and accessory items.
Serve as the primary resource for internal teams and customers on product specifications, installation requirements, and best practices.
Support sales efforts by assisting customers with product selection, demonstrations, and technical guidance.
Collaborate with branch staff and sales teams to ensure inventory levels and product availability align with customer demand.
Assist in training branch employees and sales teams on new products, updates, and technical procedures.
Participate in product launches, vendor demonstrations, and industry events as required.
Track and report on product trends, customer feedback, and inventory performance to inform management decisions.
Ensure adherence to safety protocols, product handling guidelines, and operational procedures.

Occasional travel to branch locations, vendor sites, and customer locations as needed
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Ability to walk, bend, and navigate warehouse and branch environments
Prolonged periods of standing for product demonstrations or training sessions
Working Conditions:
Office, warehouse, and branch environments
Fast-paced, customer-focused setting with hands-on product interaction
Requires adherence to safety procedures and flexibility in daily tasks
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic understanding of pool, aquatics, landscape, or related products
Ability to learn and convey technical product information effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience in sales, customer service, or technical support roles in pool, landscape, or aquatics industry
Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software
Forklift or warehouse experience a plus
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Horticulture, or related field
Minimum Years of Work Experience:
1–3 years in sales, customer service, or product support role preferred
