What we do at Weir
We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

  • Develop and execute strategies to grow OE cyclone sales and expand the aftermarket business, with a focus on regaining spare parts market share.
  • Build strong relationships with new and existing customers across Western Australia through regular site visits, providing onsite technical support, troubleshooting, installation supervision, and commissioning.
  • Analyse and model mineral processing circuits using tools such as JK SimMet to validate recommendations and support technically sound solutions.
  • Review customer specifications and prepare high-quality technical and commercial proposals aligned with customer requirements and business objectives.
  • Support and train process engineers and area managers to strengthen process engineering capability and product knowledge across the team.
  • Manage sales opportunities in Salesforce as part of the OE Sales Team, collaborating cross-functionally and travelling frequently across WA, including remote mine sites at short notice.

What you’ll bring

  • Proven experience in technical sales or process engineering within a minerals processing environment, ideally with cyclone products.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mechanical, Chemical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical capability with experience interpreting technical data and using modelling software such as JK SimMet (highly regarded).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce.
  • Experience supporting onsite installation supervision and commissioning of cyclone or similar mineral processing equipment.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to present technical solutions clearly and contribute to sales strategy and business growth.
