Product Specialist Azure
Location: Oslo, Norway
Key Responsibilities
Azure Enablement
Act as a product specialist for Azure services across our partner ecosystem.
Support partners in designing, deploying, and optimizing Azure workloads.
Guide partners/end customers on best practices for Azure adoption, governance, and productivity outcomes.
Deliver technical sessions, demos, and workshops in collaboration with Microsoft.
Business Growth & Collaboration
Drive measurable growth of Azure consumption within your partner portfolio.
Maintain a strong relationship with Microsoft, aligning on priorities, programs, and incentives.
Participate in joint planning sessions and readiness initiatives with Microsoft’s cloud and AI teams.
Partner Success
Advise partners on architecture, security, compliance, and cost management in Azure.
Help partners build scalable cloud and AI offerings based on Microsoft best practices.
Support onboarding and enablement of new partners entering the Azure ecosystem.
Internal Knowledge Sharing
Work closely with our internal Microsoft team to strengthen technical excellence.
Contribute to documentation, playbooks, and best‑practice frameworks.
Qualification Requirements (Must‑have)
Commercial and Advisory Skills
Experience with B2B sales, presales, consulting or solution sales within IT / cloud.
Ability to translate technical capabilities into clear business value.
Experience with customer meetings and needs assessment.
Experience developing solution proposals and commercial offers.
Experience supporting Account Managers / Partner Managers in sales processes.
Understanding of cloud economics (cost vs. value, TCO / ROI, consumption, pricing, and optimization — FinOps mindset).
Azure Expertise (Breadth > Depth)
Solid, practical understanding of the Azure platform, especially: Compute (VMs, App Services, Containers — conceptual level), Storage & Networking, Security (Entra ID, Defender, basic Zero Trust principles), and Governance (management groups, policies, landing zones — high level).
Understanding of common Azure scenarios: cloud adoption / migration, modernization (PaaS, hybrid), security and compliance, and data and AI (conceptual, not implementation‑focused).
Important: The role does not require daily hands‑on operations or deep developer expertise.
Collaboration and Communication
Comfortable presenting to customers and partners.
Able to lead or contribute to workshops and customer dialogues.
Fluent in Norwegian and English, spoken and written.
Desired Qualifications (Nice‑to‑have)
Azure / Microsoft Related
Relevant certifications (e.g., AZ‑900, AZ‑104, AZ‑305, or equivalent).
Familiarity with the CSP model (Direct / Indirect).
Knowledge of Azure Marketplace, licensing, and commercial programs.
Familiarity with Microsoft sales methodologies and frameworks (Cloud Adoption Framework, Well‑Architected Framework).
Business Development
Experience developing and/or selling commercial concepts / packaged services.
Experience with go‑to‑market activities and campaigns together with partners or to end customers.
Background from partner, consulting, or distributor environments.
Experience from hyperscale ecosystems (Microsoft; potentially also AWS/GCP).
