About the Team

You will join the Workday Adaptive Planning Center of Excellence (CoE), a specialized group of domain experts dedicated to redefining how organizations approach enterprise planning. We aren't just a sales team; we are the strategic engine that bridges the gap between complex software capabilities and real-world challenges.

Our team thrives on cross-functional synergy, partnering closely with other teams to architect solutions that matter. We pride ourselves on being "trusted advisors" rather than just vendors, maintaining a culture of knowledge-sharing, mentorship, and high-level execution across the UKI region.

About the Role

As a Product Specialist within the Workday Adaptive Planning Center of Excellence (CoE), you will serve as a foundational expert within our field sales organization. This is a strategic role specifically focused on driving market success and adoption of Workday Adaptive Planning within the Public Services sector in the UKI region. You will use your domain expertise and consultative skills to initiate and support sales cycles for both prospective customers and existing Workday accounts. We are looking for a professional who understands the unique complexities of the Public Services landscape and can effectively position planning solutions to meet those specific needs.

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • Sales Environment Experience: Proven experience working within a professional sales, pre-sales, or consulting environment (Enterprise software experience preferred).
  • Public Services Expertise: Demonstrated understanding of the Public Services domain, including the specific regulatory and operational challenges of the sector.
  • Financial Persona Knowledge: Experience engaging with Finance stakeholders and understanding their FP&A needs.
  • Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively with internal partners and establish credibility as a trusted advisor to external clients.
  • Mobility: Willingness to travel for customer meetings and marketing events as required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Market Insight: Understanding of the competitive landscape and customer requirements within the Enterprise Planning space.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Ability to enable and mentor others by sharing domain-specific knowledge and expertise.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to cultivate mutually beneficial relationships with customers and partners.
  • Professional Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills suitable for executive-level engagement.

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.

At Workday, we are committed to providing an accessible and inclusive hiring experience where all candidates can fully demonstrate their skills. If you require assistance or an accommodation at any point, please email
