The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
Solventum Health Information Systems (Solventum HIS) is a leader in helping commercial and government payers control costs and increase access to quality care with clinically based methodologies developed and refined over more than 40 years. These reliable metrics help commercial payers, as well as most state Medicaid programs, analyze and track performance, reduce inefficiencies, and drive better outcomes.

The person hired for the position of Product Solutions/ Business Analyst  will join a team focused on delivering provider, payer and business partner solutions for Solventum methodologies used for payment, quality, and performance management by government and commercial payer programs. This position primarily supports population management platforms that aggregate data from various sources, compare populations, and calculate total cost of care. The solutions that are delivered to payers and providers help organizations derive valuable data insights to reimagine care delivery and deliver sustainable process improvements. Solventum patient classification methodologies help health care payers and providers understand the value of population health and patient care by providing insights into patient mix, expected reimbursement and quality outcomes. Rapid data enrichment delivered through a business intelligence platform, as well as structured extracts, empowers organizations to act sooner to drive change. This person hired for this position must be a team player who wants to be involved in healthcare transformation and works well in a collaborative and multi-faceted environment.

As a Product Solutions Analyst/ Business Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

  • Joining a collaborative cross functional team with representatives across the organization to enhance and support payer products and services
  • Working with subject matter experts, defining business requirements, standard business rules, and producing documentation that is client-facing as well as technical documentation used by developers
  • Performing data analysis and reviewing business rules with business stakeholders to refine product requirements
  • Validating results from development teams for implementation of business rules and business requirements
  • Presenting standard product capabilities to support product implementation and post implementation lifecycles

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university AND eight (8) experience in Healthcare Information Technology.

OR

  • High School Diploma/GED AND a minimum of  twelve (12) years of experience in Healthcare Information Technology.
  • Six (6) years of experience working in the Healthcare industry, preferably with data analytic experience of commercial, Medicaid and/or Medicare health plans. Strong knowledge in claim analytics, billing, member eligibility, provider data, and quality reports.
  • Six (6) years of experience performing requirements gathering and analysis.
  • Six (6) years of experience in writing SQL queries for large data warehouses.
  • Five (5) years in an analyst role documenting business rules and source to target mapping.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

  • Experience with provider-level data, clinical data management, and working within Microsoft SQL Server environments.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing and business intelligence terminology, along with experience collaborating with ETL developers, BI architects, and report developers to communicate data mapping.
  • Experience working within an agile development organization.
  • Understanding of MS-DRG and APC, as well as proprietary Solventum methodologies, including APR DRG, EAPG, CRG, PPR, PPC, AM-PPC, PFP, and PFE.
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and models to provide analytic and methodology guidance, along with demonstrating a sense of urgency, ownership, results orientation, and a growth mindset supporting healthcare payment innovation, patient safety, efficiency, quality of care, and value-based care efforts.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $107,600 - $147,950, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
