What you’ll achieve
As an Outside Sales Product Specialist, you will proactively identify and solve customer business needs by providing subject matter expertise and creating solutions using Dell’s products and services.
You will:
Manage relationships with senior level technical personnel and decision makers (both business & technical) at customer’s end
Uncover critical processes and validate operational strengths and issues within the customer’s environment
Research and apply industry and market knowledge to present the positive value of our solutions
Demonstrate the value of our product and/or service technology to advance customer business objectives
Provide insight and thought leadership to customers concerning applicability of highly complex products and services
Act as a sales & technical resource for the Account Sales organization to help meet and exceed their objectives. Partner the Account Sales to build, maintain and execute an Account Plan and at the same time, foster a team environment in alignment with Dell’s culture code to manage challenges constructively
Essential Requirements
Understanding of competitive market-landscape
Advanced knowledge of technical products, vendors and families of technologies
Excellent understanding of product configurations
Positioning of efficient Dell infrastructure solution(s) that will derive customers’ required outcomes.Ability to position datacenter solutions that integrate AI/machine learning and automation to optimize customer operations and deliver measurable business outcomes. Deep understanding of modern infrastructure architectures, including on-prem, edge, and multi-cloud environments, and how they interoperate securely and efficiently. Skill in articulating how infrastructure supports data lifecycle management, analytics, and AI workloads, emphasizing performance, scalability, and sustainability. Capability to uncover customer pain points and translate them into tailored solutions using predictive insights, industry benchmarks, and ROI modeling
Exceptional oral and written communication skills to communicate with customers, support personnel and leadership. Commitment to staying ahead of emerging technologies like AI accelerators, software-defined infrastructure, and energy-efficient designs; Be a student of both the technology industry and the customer’s industry, with an innate ability to align technology to the business problems it solves
Desirable Requirements
8+ years of related experience in a relationship selling role
Experience in selling to Public-Sector/Defence. Bachelor’s degree
