The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance (AD) Product Security Engineering (PSE) organization is seeking an experienced Product Security Engineering, Senior Manager to provide leadership to product security activities in the Air Dominance current and future portfolios.
This Senior Engineering Manager assists in setting the strategy, leading execution, and growing a high-performing team of PSE engineers/analysts. You’ll partner closely with customers, program leadership, senior technologists, and cross-functional Boeing teams, including Boeing Technology Innovation, Phantom Works, PSE functional office and core engineering capabilities.
This position is part of Boeing's AD PSE Organization, which is a growing multi-disciplinary engineering team responsible for the security and resiliency of Boeing's products, platforms, and services, such as F/A-18, F-15, MQ-25, T-7A & Phantom Works, including the design and development of next generation systems. The ideal candidate excels in both engineering technical acumen/excellence required for this role, while also being an engaging and motivating people leader.
Position Responsibilities:
Management Duties Include:
Develops/maintains partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, & direct reports
Plan and manage program product security work scope (Cost, Schedule, Technical & Quality)
Coach, mentor and provide developmental opportunities for employees
Perform employee evaluation, hiring, retention, awards/recognition, and goal setting
Executing to program staffing, hiring, critical skills, and employee development plans
Supports program proposal process and basis of estimates for new business efforts
Manages budgets, performs Control Account Manager (CAM) responsibilities, along with Estimates At Complete (EACs)
Provides support for non-direct team members that support product security efforts
Assists in engineering cross team collaboration to ensure team cohesion
Engages with Supply Chain & suppliers to ensure cyber requirements are clearly communicated
Security Clearance Requirement:
Basic Qualifications (required skills/experience):
General knowledge of product/cyber security processes and procedures
Bachelor, Master, or Doctor of Science degree in engineering or computer science
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in performing product/cyber security engineering
Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in development, integration, validation, and verification of cyber security systems
Preferred Qualifications (desired skills/experience):
Candidates currently in possession of a US Security Clearance.
Experience working with government customers and government programs
Previous cyber security or technical leadership experience
Experience managing budgets/Earn Value Management (EVM)/Control Account Manager (CAM)
Experience in leading system/component level cyber test and evaluation, including threat and security assessments, and table top exercises
Experience leading software assurance planning & assessments, including static/dynamic code analysis
Security+ certification or CISSP certification
