Product Reliability Engineer

Description -

What a Product Reliability Engineer does at HP:

  • Work with a team of engineers to support the different Reliability tests for all stages from new product introduction through end of lifecycle for the different products.
  • Provides advanced failure analysis, root cause identification and corrective actions for reliability concerns for class issues.
  • Work closely with R&D to develop Design-for-Reliability (DfR) for NPI leveraging learning from existing products; provide feedback on material component selection and associated reliability test plans.
  • Drives improvement and streamlining of Reliability Test Methodologies using advance data analytics, reliability models based on good understanding of how supplies work.
  • Analyze field quality data to identify areas for prevention and improved detection.
  • In-depth experience with using engineering tools and software packages to test, design and evaluate products and manufacturing margins.
  • Ability to interpret reliability test results and correlate results with product failure performance.


Education & Experience Recommended

  • Masters/Bachelor's Degree in engineering or equivalent with good understanding of Reliability and Statistics.
  • Possess good understanding of manufacturing processes, methodologies and environment.
  • Capable of defining reliability test plans for components, materials and systems.
  • Skilled in failure analysis of multiple reliability failure modes.
  • Excellent Analytical, Problem Solving and Project Management skills.
  • Good understanding of Quality Assurance and Process Control Knowledge.
