Major Function

As Product Regulations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring Nilfisk’s products and technologies remain compliant, future‑ready, and competitive. Based in Hadsund, Denmark, you will systematically monitor, assess, and interpret upcoming legislation and standards impacting Nilfisk globally, with a strong focus on EU regulation.

The role sits within Product Compliance & Sustainability (PCS) and works closely with Technology R&D, Product Lines, and ESG. Your core contribution is to provide structured regulatory horizon scanning and translate external developments into clear, actionable internal guidance that supports product strategy and innovation. Occasional travel to external meetings and industry forums can be expected.

Essential Responsibilities

• Monitor EU and international legislation and standardization activities relevant to Nilfisk products and technologies, including Ecodesign, Energy Labelling, Machinery Regulation, and sustainability‑related legislation
• Collect regulatory and standardization intelligence through trade organizations, industry forums, standardization bodies, and public consultations
• Proactively assess relevance and business impact of external developments by coordinating with internal stakeholders across PCS, Technology R&D, Product Lines, and ESG
• Provide structured regulatory horizon scanning and periodic updates tailored to Nilfisk priorities and product roadmaps
• Translate regulatory and standardization developments into clear, actionable internal guidance, ensuring internal alignment before external positions are taken
• Represent Nilfisk in selected external working groups and forums where strategic relevance has been identified

Your New Team

You will join the Product Compliance & Sustainability team, a diverse and collaborative group of engineers, compliance specialists, and sustainability professionals working across locations in Europe and beyond.
The team works closely with R&D and Product Management and plays a central role in shaping how Nilfisk responds to regulatory change.

Qualifications to Succeed in the Position

You are curious about how regulation shapes technology and enjoy making complex topics understandable and useful for others. To succeed in this role, you likely bring:

• A degree in engineering, regulatory affairs, public policy, or a similar field
• Some experience with EU and North American regulation, product compliance, standardization, or trade associations
• The ability to translate complex regulatory developments into clear, actionable guidance
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with both internal and external stakeholders
• A structured, proactive, and collaborative working style
