What you’ll contribute to

An exciting opportunity for a Product Planning Specialist to join our Product Planning & Development division in a permanent full-time role.

Product Planning & Development division’s vision is to design, develop, and deliver unique global contributions that realise Ever Better Products for our customers, ensuring no one is left behind. This is achieved by enabling high‑quality contributions from all team members to drive sustained “tree‑ring” growth and support a successful transition to an innovative mobility company.

As a Product Planning Specialist (Lexus Vehicles), you will play a key role in shaping Lexus vehicle model line‑ups for Toyota, supporting the delivery of highly desirable products that drive sales performance, customer satisfaction, and strong outcomes for Toyota and its dealer network.

This role is based in Altona North with flexible work arrangements on offer.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Implement Lexus product planning processes and procedures in line with established policies to support customer satisfaction, sales performance, and profitability objectives.

  • Support the development and continuous improvement of product planning processes for Lexus vehicles and accessories to enhance product desirability and market outcomes.

  • Contribute to the development of vehicle model line‑ups and grade specifications, leveraging market and product research to maximise customer and commercial appeal.

  • Prepare and document findings, recommendations, and proposals for effective communication and decision‑making with key stakeholders.

  • Provide regular project status updates, identifying progress, risks, and issues, and recommending actions to support successful delivery.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate vehicle and product information, ensuring technical content and reporting systems support effective planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Degree qualification in Engineering, Marketing, Commerce, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience

  • Demonstrated experience in product planning or marketing, ideally within the automotive or related industry

  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and negotiate outcomes in a complex, cross‑functional environment

  • Experience in market research, cost planning, and financial analysis

  • Sound understanding of automotive systems and technical terminology

  • Knowledge of sales and marketing processes is desirable
