Global Banking & Markets division serves mid- to large-sized corporations and institutional clients worldwide. The Risk and Finance Technology team provides end-to-end technology solutions and support for Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officers. Global Regulatory Reporting Technology partners with Global Finance Controllers & CFO business stakeholders to automate complex business processes that satisfy current regulations and position the firm to address future regulatory requirements. Operational and Line of Business Regulatory reporting comprises of Regulatory disclosures, financial and nonfinancial reporting to all the stakeholders across the globe. The portfolio is responsible for designing, building and maintaining high performing software systems that are used by APAC, EMEA and US regulators globally.

Job Description:

A Product Owner- I,  with strong business analysis and delivery background, Communication, experience in influencing global stakeholders, ability to spot opportunities and a “Go Getter” attitude with an ability to juggle multiple projects with technologies, like AXIOM, Oracle and ETL platform like Informatica, Alteryx and Tableau.  Multi-Bank experience in implementation of LCR, NSFR, CCAR, BASIL III Regulatory Reports for APAC countries using Axiom SL V9 and V10 solutions.

The primary responsibility is to work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model to ensure there is alignment.  Major responsibility to identify business requirements and document processes and confirm final business requirements with users. Translate the business requirements into technical requirements and work closely with Development and testing teams to develop and implement solutions.  Develop best practices for data collection and analyze data gaps and work with various upstream systems to fix the data gaps.

• 15+ years of relevant experience, managing fast paced, challenging technology delivery teams
• Ability to work in multi technology project

• Defining, analyzing, and documenting requirements using interviews, document analysis and workflow analysis.
• Writing both functional specification and business requirement documents
• Evaluating information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details

• Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams
• Experience with regulatory reports related projects would be an advantage
• Axiom development and understanding of Axiom TAXONAMY while automating reports in Axiom is an added advantage
• Highly motivated, able to work independently, self-starter; and problem/solving/analytical
• Interact with Business and Tech Partners and derive scalable solutions

• In line with Agile principles proactively perform robust testing on developed components 
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools including XLR, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and/or Artifactory are preferred

 Other key responsibilities include creating the strategy for requirements development and implementation. Ensuring technology solutions comply with enterprise data management standards, global records management standards, and data quality and control practices for authorized data sources. They advocate and advance modern, Agile solution delivery practices and evangelize great design, engineering, and organizational practices.

This portfolio also has a variety of tech stack Axiom, Java, Angular JS, .Net, Informatica, Oracle, Vendor tools like Axiom and Pega; Expertise in financial regulatory reporting, banking domain and capital markets domain is must.  This needs a tech and domain savvy dynamic analyst or product owner who can connect with global stake holders to set the project milestones.

Responsibilities:

• With some guidance, creates the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain.
• Communicates the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems.

• With some guidance, creates and prioritizes stories in the product backlog
• Refines stories with the team to ensure there are enough “ready” stories to load the next 1-2 sprints.
• Reviews and accepts stories and is empowered to make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements.
• Works in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology and through an advanced understanding of the business.
• Work on automation projects for APAC finance regulatory reporting technology team as a product owner in automating the reports in AXIOM reporting tool
• Mentor other business analysts or product owners in the team to bring them up to speed on project assignments.
• Gather data and business requirements by working with finance and operations teams in APAC.
• Challenge current business processes and functional logic if there are gaps with regulatory requirements while capturing requirements for automation.
• Perform peer review of requirements documented by other business analysts or product owners.
• Document business requirements and translate business terms into functional specifications for development team and coordinate with other technology teams to source data for regulatory reporting.
• Participate in design discussion and provide inputs to come up with solution that is scalable and sustainable.
• Work with scrum master to coordinate between the business users, development and support team on requirement sign off, development support, functional testing, and release management.
• Participate in scrum routines for sprint planning, backlog grooming, sprint review and retrospective.
• Perform data analysis and work on data quality issues impacting regulatory reporting.
• Work with users to define data controls and operating model post automation.
• Raise risks in project in timely manner with scrum master and escalate as needed.

Requirements:

·      Education: B.E. in Computer Science / Electronics / MBA in Finance

·      Certifications If Any: NA 

·      Experience Range: 8-10+ Years 

Foundational Skills:

• 8+ years of experience in Understanding of regulatory framework and upcoming regulations in APAC financial regulatory reporting
• Advanced analysis and reporting experience in AXIOM is an added advantage
• Understanding of corporate banking & global markets financial products and business process 
• Understanding of software development process; actual experience in Agile/Scrum process will be an advantage
• Experience in gathering business requirements, creating specifications
• Experience in data analysis using SQL and excel.
• Understanding of capital calculation, BASEL 3, VaR, liquidity ratios, market risk and counterparty risk calculation will be an advantage
• Good communication skills and experience in working in a virtual team
• Previous experience in regulatory reporting projects
• Highly motivated, able to work independently, self-starter; and problem/solving/analytical
